NV=Near Vision

DV=Distance Vision

Sph (Sphere) = this is the amount of power required to correct your vision.

         Negative means your lenses are used to correct your distance vision

         Positive means your lenses are used to correct your near vision

Cyl(cylinder) = This shows the amount of correction needed to remove any visual distortion. The Visual distortion is usually caused by an irregularly shaped cornea.

Axis = this is a unit between 0 degrees to 180 degrees; this is built in your lenses to correct to astigmatism (irregularly shaped cornea).

Prism = this correction is made to balance your eye muscles for comfort.

Base = the direction of the prism built in your lenses.
